RTL Deutschland Launches ntv Doku as an SVoD Channel on Amazon Prime Video RTL Deutschland launched ntv Doku, a subscription VoD channel on Amazon Prime Video bundling more than 500 hours and over 250 documentaries under its news brand, with around 100 hours of new content per year including at least 30 German premieres. Selected documentaries will premiere on the channel before their linear broadcast, extending ntv as a cross-media brand beyond RTL’s own platforms.

RTL’s event programming of Die Verräter shows the linear-streaming flywheel at work: weekly streaming reach jumped 42% to a record 0.946 million once linear broadcasts began, and Joyn’s Villa der Versuchung also set a weekly record at 0.725 million.

CMA Media Launches RMC+, Uniting BFMTV, RMC Channels and Brut on One Free Platform CMA Media launched RMC+ on 1 September, replacing RMC BFM Play with a single free streaming platform that bundles its four DTT channels — BFMTV, RMC Story, RMC Découverte and RMC Life — plus ten thematic channels, a Brut channel and nearly 10,000 hours of on-demand content, distributed on mobile, Samsung smart TVs, Molotov, Canal+ and the TV platforms of Orange, Free, SFR and Bouygues. The CMA CGM subsidiary is in the final phase of acquiring RMC Sport and still draws 93% of BFMTV and RMC advertising revenue from linear TV, against 6% from streaming.

Ad Alliance handles advertising sales for both services, and DPG Media frames the deal as the next step in Videoland’s ambition to stay at the forefront of Dutch streaming while it awaits ACM clearance for the Viaplay acquisition.
