Streaming Prices Are Rising Three Times Faster Than Inflation, THR Analysis Finds

The Hollywood Reporter calculates that streaming prices collectively rose 11.8% over the past 12 months and have climbed at more than triple the US inflation rate since 2022, against cable and satellite's historical average of 3.9% a year. Apple TV is up 200% since its 2019 launch, Disney+ up 172% and Netflix Premium up 125% since 2013, and the eight major US streamers ad-free now cost about $151 a month combined.
