Sixteen Deals In, Disney+ Emerges as Europe’s Most Aggressive Broadcaster Ally

VideoWeek's new tracker counts 16 SVOD-broadcaster content partnerships since Netflix-TF1 opened the trend in summer 2025: Disney+ leads with eight, including last week's M6 deal, against four for Prime Video and three for Netflix, with ten of the 16 deals concentrated in France and Spain. Exclusivity has not become the norm — Netflix and Disney+ have each signed with both RTVE and Atresmedia — no standard deal blueprint has emerged, and the UK, Germany, Italy and the Nordics remain largely untapped.
