RTL Deutschland Puts Generative AI on Air in German Free-TV First

RTL Deutschland becomes the first German broadcaster to air generative-AI-produced programming: five AI-modified episodes of “Ulrich Wetzel – Das Strafgericht”, made with Constantin Entertainment using image editing, voice synthesis and lip-sync, run from 7 September at 15:55. The “RTL bringt KI on Air” initiative moves the technology from workflow tooling into mainstream broadcast output.
