DOJ Issues Second Request on Fox's $22 Billion Roku Takeover, Extending Antitrust Review

Fox and Roku each received a second request for information from the US Department of Justice on 8 September, extending the HSR waiting period on the $22 billion acquisition until 30 days after both companies substantially comply. The companies still target a close in the first half of 2027, while rivals warn that Fox controlling the leading US TV operating system could favour its own programming and set Roku's ad-supported channels against Fox-owned Tubi.
