Disney+ to Fold Hulu + Live TV, Unified Profiles and Eventually a FAST Channel Into One App

Disney CFO Hugh Johnston told the Goldman Sachs Communacopia conference that Disney+ will incorporate Hulu + Live TV with an interactive channel guide by the end of the year, giving bundle subscribers ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC affiliates plus pay-TV news and entertainment channels without leaving the app. Disney is also merging Disney+ and Hulu profiles into a 'one fan, one account' ecosystem and plans a free ad-supported channel, which Johnston compared to ESPN's free-app upsell funnel rather than a cannibalisation risk.
