Disney Offers Voluntary Early-Retirement Packages to Senior Staff

Disney is offering enhanced early-retirement packages to high-ranking employees as part of a cost-cutting drive, with chief people officer Sonia Coleman telling staff the company is focused on meaningfully reducing costs while investing in content, technology and experiences. The move follows CFO Hugh Johnston's pledge of further labor and SG&A reductions and CEO Josh D'Amaro's public dissatisfaction with a stock down 11% over the past year.
