Disney has begun beta testing AI-powered search and discovery tools on both ESPN and Disney+, letting a subset of users ask natural-language sports questions on ESPN Search and describe what they want to watch via text, voice or prompts on Disney+. Recommendations draw on ESPN's sports data and editorial archive on one side, and on immediate viewing intent rather than past viewing history on the other.
