Deutsche Telekom Reshuffles Leadership: New CFO, AWS Executive Takes Product and Technology

CFO Christian Illek retires after the April 2027 AGM, succeeded by group controlling head Dhananjay Mirchandani, while AWS vice president Jan Hofmeyr — who previously ran Comcast’s X1 platform — joins the board for Product & Technology on 1 November 2026 and Mladen Mitic becomes Chief Product & Digital Officer in October. Europe’s largest telco is putting a platform-and-cloud profile at the top of its product organisation.
