Charter Completes $34.5 Billion Acquisition of Cox Communications

Charter Communications completed its $34.5 billion acquisition of Cox Communications on August 20, after the California Public Utilities Commission cleared the deal with conditions, and simultaneously closed its all-stock acquisition of Liberty Broadband. The combined company serves 37 million customers across 45 states and will roll out the Spectrum brand in former Cox markets in mid-September before renaming its parent entity Cox Communications within a year.
