California AG Says Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery Settlement Requires 'Robust Structural Remedies'
California Attorney General Rob Bonta told CNBC that settling the 12-state antitrust suit against Paramount Skydance's roughly $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery would require "robust structural remedies," comparing the case to the Live Nation-Ticketmaster litigation his office previously won. The comments came hours before news broke of a court-mandated settlement meeting at Bonta's office, with Paramount facing a $7 million-a-day fee if the deal remains open past October 1.
