California AG Cancels Paramount Settlement Meeting, Accusing Ellison of 'Playing Games'
California Attorney General Rob Bonta canceled Monday's scheduled settlement meeting with Paramount late Sunday, accusing the company of leaking and misrepresenting an August 21 discussion over its $111 billion Warner Bros. Discovery takeover and showing a 'lack of good faith.' Bonta leads 12 state attorneys general suing to block the deal ahead of a March trial, with a 25-cent-per-share ticking fee — roughly $650 million per quarter — starting October 1 until the deal closes.
