Amazon Shuts Down Its German Prime FAST Channel After One Year

Amazon is closing its linear "Prime" FAST channel in Germany and Austria on Aug. 1, just 15 months after launch, after failing to gain traction against dominant public broadcasters ARD and ZDF and commercial rival RTL. On-demand content remains available, and Amazon continues expanding Prime Video Channels add-ons elsewhere in Europe.
